Viaplay is an online streaming service that offers premium live sports, Viaplay Originals, Nordic storytelling, and third-party content. You can download the app on most popular devices or stream directly at viaplay.com/gb-en - whenever it suits you. Content can only be watched within the UK.
Premier Sports have become Viaplay and from November 1st, 2022 you can find all the same sports rights and much more in the Viaplay app. If you are a subscriber to the Premier Player, or have access to it through SKY, you will get further instructions via e-mail soon. For subscribers through Virgin and Amazon you will continue to receive the same great service as ever before but under a new name, Viaplay. Please note, however, that the Viaplay streaming service is not available for subscribers through Virgin and Amazon as these providers only distribute the linear channels.
Yes, all the same great sports content is still available to watch, and more. Viaplay will show LaLiga, Scottish Cup, Scottish League Cup and Coppa Italia football; United Rugby Championship, Rugby Football League and TOP 14 rugby; NHL, IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, Champions Hockey League and Elite Ice Hockey League; CEV volleyball; KSW mixed martial arts; EHF handball; ISU figure skating and speed skating; World Athletics Continental Tour Gold and Indoor Tour; and much more.
Going forward, you will keep the same channel setup that is within your deal with your provider. The channels previously known as “Premier Sports 1” and “Premier Sports 2" will change names to “Viaplay Sports 1” and “Viaplay Sports 2". The channels will not be available through the Viaplay app, instead you can stream the same content through the sports pages on the Viaplay streaming service, or turn to your service provider for more information. Please note that the Viaplay streaming service is not available for subscribers through Virgin and Amazon as these providers only distribute the linear channels.
You can watch 2 streams at the same time and use up to 5 devices within a 24-hour period. If you try to start a 3rd stream, you will receive an error message explaining this. The same goes for a 6th device within a 24-hour period. Please note that we reserve the right to limit the number of devices on which you can stream to one (1) registered device for individual rights, e.g. sports events.
You can download most series and movies offline on your iOS/Android mobile devices (phone/tablet). The downloads will be stored on the device’s internal memory and cannot be stored on any external devices or memory cards.
When signing up directly on Viaplay, you must add a payment method. It can be a Visa or a Mastercard issued by a bank in the UK. We also offer the option to pay through PayPal.
You can send your questions to uk@viaplay.com.
